There’s a phrase I’ve been sitting with lately: love is a verb. It is not a label, title, nor role — it is something we do, something we live, something we show. The more life unfolds around me, the more I see how deeply this matters — in our relationships, our families, our communities, and even in the way we care for ourselves.
When people talk about love, they often describe it as a feeling. I feel that real love — the kind that strengthens, supports, heals, and empowers — comes through in action.
It’s in showing up.
It’s in listening.
It’s in speaking life into someone who is doubting themselves.
It’s in protecting peace and staying connected, even when life shifts.
It’s in those quiet moments when someone is hurting and your instinct is, How can I be a soft place to land? 🤝
This past week reminded me of something essential: love isn’t defined by titles like parent, partner, or friend. Some people hold the title but not the responsibility. Others — often quietly — step in with presence, compassion, and consistency. Those are the cycle-breakers, the bridge-builders, the ones gently rewriting history through action. 🌱
🌟 Here’s the powerful truth:
Showing up for others starts with showing up for ourselves.
Self-love isn’t just spa days or positive affirmations. It’s recognizing that you are worthy of connection and care — and refusing to internalize someone else’s absence as a reflection of your value. It’s choosing not to let another person’s limitations define your worth. It’s seeking out people who see you, hear you, and honor who you are.
Some of us learned early what it feels like not to have consistent support. Instead of hardening us, it awakened us to something deeper:
✨ To love louder.
✨ To hold space better.
✨ To lead with heart, not ego.
✨ To ensure others don’t feel unseen the way we once did.
That powerful energy goes far beyond family roles. It shows up in friendships, leadership, mentorship, and yes — in my coaching. My work is rooted in being someone who truly shows up, not to fix others, but to help them remember their strength, their worth, and their possibilities. Because when even one person stands with you, everything shifts. 🌄
If you’ve felt the sting of someone not showing up — I see you.
If you’ve been the one holding others through storms — I honor you.
And if you’re ready to surround yourself with support grounded in presence, accountability, and care — I’m here for that, too. 💫
Love, at its core, is active. It’s intentional. It’s chosen.
It also has the power to heal generations.
