Today, on my birthday, I’m choosing to pause. Not to celebrate in the traditional sense, but to reflect deeply, intentionally, breath by breath.
Birth begins with an inhale.
That first, instinctive breath marks our arrival into the world where we are naked, exposed, and without pretense. We do not yet know our name, our story, or our purpose. We simply breathe… and cry… because that is the only language we have.
Then life begins to shape us.
Over the years, we learn expectations, roles, responsibilities, and the subtle (and not-so-subtle) messages about who we “should” be. We gather experiences, joys, wounds, dreams, defenses. Layers and layers that form our identity and some chosen, some absorbed, and some inherited.
Somewhere along the way, something shifts.
There comes a moment, either gradual or like a lightning bolt when we realize we can choose to shape our own life. That our voice matters. That our vulnerabilities are not flaws to hide, but strengths that reveal our humanity. That we can let go of what no longer serves and move toward what aligns.
Through every transformation, we keep breathing.
This past year has been a profound reminder of that truth for me.
Not just in the milestones but also in the quieter, internal revolutions:
✨ trusting the universe more deeply than ever
✨ surrendering when necessary
✨ opening my heart in new ways
✨ allowing my sankalpa to unfold with awe
✨ choosing joy and alignment, again and again
✨ understanding that becoming is a lifelong breathwork practice
Today, I come back to that first inhale — the one that said I’m here.
I pair it with the wisdom of every breath I’ve taken since.
I am here.
I am becoming.
I am choosing.
I am breathing into the life I’m intentionally creating.
My birthday wish — for myself and for you — is this:
May we continue to breathe bravely.
May we mold our lives from a place of truth, not fear.
May we honor our vulnerability as a portal to connection.
May we let our first breath and our next breath be equally sacred.
Affirmation of the Week:
With every breath, I return to myself. I honor who I was, who I am, and who I am becoming.
If this reflection resonates and you’re seeking deeper intentionality, grounding, or alignment in your own season of becoming, I’d love to support you.
✨ Book a complimentary meet-and-greet with me and let’s breathe into your next chapter together.
