For me, this week was full in the most beautiful way. Meaningful conversations, powerful sessions, and so many reminders of why I do this work. One moment stands out and truly warms my soul.
I heard feedback this morning about a student from my Monday evening class. She had done a pose that no one else in the class could do, even her peers. What mattered most wasn’t that she could do something others couldn’t. It was that she didn’t know she could do it.
When she realized she was capable, she beamed! Her smile widened. Her posture lifted. Her eyes sparkled. Her confidence expanded right in front of us.
That moment, that spark, that is everything!
It brought me straight back to my intention for both my yoga teaching and my coaching:
I aim to help folks expand their life-force energy, breath, and sense of what is possible in their bodies and their lives; knowing it may show up differently from moment to moment.
That is the magic!
It is never about the pose.
It is never about comparison.
It is about possibility.
When someone touches the edge of what they believed was beyond them, something shifts. When it happens on the mat, it always carries into life off the mat. The body learns what the mind begins to trust: I can do hard things. I can grow. I can expand.
This is true in coaching as well.
When a client realizes they can set a boundary they once feared…
When they speak a truth they have been holding for years…
When they make a decision rooted in alignment rather than expectation…
They beam the same way.
Their posture changes.
Their voice steadies.
Their presence expands.
It echoes a quote I return to often by Emily Dickinson: “Dwell in possibility.”
When we allow ourselves to dwell there, even briefly, our whole demeanor shifts. We breathe deeper. We stand taller. We begin to move mountains not because someone told us we should, but because we suddenly sense that we can.
Here is the quiet truth: those moments almost always arise when we are fully present. Focused. Centered. Rooted in ourselves. Something most of us do not practice often enough. Possibility is not loud. It is discovered in presence. It grows exponentially when we have support; someone reflecting back to us what they see, encouraging us to stay, to try, to breathe through the wobble.
Those are the moments that bring me back to my why. I want the whole world to feel that expansion more often.
That spark!
That quiet inner oh… I can!
When we believe something is possible, when we truly feel it within reach, everything about us changes.
Affirmation:
I dwell in possibility and allow myself to expand beyond what I once believed.
With intention,
Natalie 🦋
